Palliative care is an area of medicine focused on providing relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of serious illness, regardless of the diagnosis or stage of the disease. The primary goal is to improve the quality of life for both the patient and their family. This approach is holistic, addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. CGHP’s partnership with the India-focused Rama Foundation has a particular focus on palliative care and incorporates a broad range of healthcare practitioners including nurses, physiotherapists and dietitians.
